Financial analysis is based upon the results for the year ending June 2009. Management Accounts and previous three years financial statements duly audited by M/s. M.Chaudhry & Co.
The company posted total sales of PKR 3,978.656 Million in FY 09 as compared to PKR 690.041 Million in the corresponding period last year showing an increase of about 477%. This increase was mainly attributed to increase in network locations during the year. Details of quantitative sales from 2006 to 2009 is annexed for reference. In FY 09, Gross profit of Askar has increased from PKR 22.209 Million to PKR 126.057 Million, an increase of 468%, mainly due to increase in sales volume.
Consequently, as a result of increased sales volumes, the company posted a net profit before tax of PKR 32.263 Million. After making appropriation for tax amounting to PKR 11.292 Million, net profit was reported at PKR 20.971 Million, which was only PKR 5.015 Million Last year. |
